Name of Youth Council: Chillaxin Youth Council (CYC)

Structure of Youth Council:
We have 4 Executive Youth Directors, 4 voting directors and 1 adult mentor. Mission Statement: "Bringing our community together by offering fun, social, and cultural opportunities while promoting a safe and healthy lifestyle that meet the diverse needs of our youth - Youth Helping Youth".

Activities:
Tues: Homework Club from 4-6pm; pool/foos/chess tournament from 6-9pm.
Wed: Guy's Group from 3:30-5:30pm; Leadership program from 6:30-9pm
Thurs: Alcohol, Narcotics, Teen Support (ANTS) at high school from 11:38- 12:21pm; Homework Club from 4-6pm; alternating weeks Youth Council meeting from 6:00-7:30pm
Fri: Sports night from 8-10pm; Girl's Group from 8-10pm
Sat: Chillaxin whatever day

Fundraisers: Bingo's, BBQ's, car washes, Chillaxin Idol, run haunted house at REC centre

Events: Community dinners, Chillaxin Idol, fear factor, paintball, horseback riding, XMAS formal dinner; dances and organizes and run haunted house for Halloween.

Tips: teamwork, be open to new ideas

Goals: do and learn new things, organize and plan activities for youth centre, fundraise, have fund, make decisions, be a voice for youth in our community and develop youth leaders.

Additional Information: We are a dedicated youth voice that represents both aboriginal and Non-aboriginal youth of both genders and we range in age from 15-18.
