PAYC Executive Retreat
From December 4 th -5 th , 2004 , the PAYC Executive, PAYC Conference Committee, and BCAAFC youth staff held an executive retreat on Salt Spring Island . PAYC Members in attendance were: Megan Clarkson ( Victoria ), Kerry Chelsea ( Prince Rupert ), Celestine Andrew ( Port Alberni ), Maria Bell ( Kelowna ) and Michelle Irwin (Quesnel). At this retreat, PAYC made a work plan for the upcoming year, with plans to extend PAYCs activities through more events and relationship building with local youth councils. In addition, PAYC revised their terms of reference, and added a more thorough description of the executive committee's roles and responsibilities. At this meeting, Maria and Michelle were voted in as PAYC executive alternates. It was decided that from now on the PAYC executive will have two alternate positions, which will be elected at the June AGM.
