Theresa Morris
» PAYC Executive
E-mail:
Theresa is a Wet’suwet’en youth leader, aged 20, who is originally from Kyah Wiget (Moricetown, BC). But she is also proud to represent her T’lazten lineage rooted from Binche, BC. Theresa joined the PAYC because she felt the need for youth confrontation and consultation toward circumstances facing contemporary urban Aboriginal youth. She is also learning Carrier language as she would like to become a fluent speaker, especially at important meetings and functions. She is currently obtaining an International Relations and Political Studies double major at the University of Northern BC. She would like to attain a Human Rights Law degree thereafter. As she is concerned about the political and social state of her people, her goal in life is to incorporate Indigenous knowledge into all the mainstream institutions. Ideally, this will improve the life of Indigenous people all over the world.
